Our volunteer writing partners are people of different ages, life stages and religious, cultural and education backgrounds. They share the desire to learn more about the Holocaust and support survivors in telling their stories in the manner that was meaningful to them.
It was a complete pleasure working with Gershon, and the task did not feel like an obligation because I was enthused about the nature of the project — legacy and important lessons. Gershon’s honesty, kindness and ability to see his story through his own research and his analysis of his identity showed the various ways the war affected so many.
